Thank you for your interest in supporting the DEMOCRATIC VOTER PROJECT (DVP) a federal political action committee under section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code. DVP is a registered political action committee with the Federal Elections Commission. 

DVP engages in issue advocacy, educational projects, supporting and opposing candidates, canvassing and petition drives to further our core purposes.

Federal election law requires political committees to use best efforts to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 during an election cycle. An individual may not contribute more than a total of $2600 per election to the committee.


Federal law prohibits contributions to the committee from the general treasury funds of a corporation, labor organizations or national banks (including corporate or other business entity credit cards), from any person contributing another’s funds, from a Federal government contractor, or from a foreign national who lacks permanent resident status. Contributions are not deductible for Federal income tax purposes.

There are no limits on the amounts that may be contributed to Democratic Voter Project by an individual, corporation, union, or trade association; however, the Democratic Voter Project does not accept contributions from foreign nationals. All persons or entities that contribute will be disclosed to the Internal Revenue Service. Contributions to Democratic Voter Project are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes, and do not count against an individuals $117,000 biennial aggregate contribution limit under federal campaign finance law.
